Eligibility for PCPs
eConsult program clinic organizations and sites are selected by L.A. Care Health Plan, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, and Health Care LA Independent Practice Association / MedPOINT Management.
Site eligibility criteria includes:
- Clinic organizations are contracted Community Partner clinics with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services
- Clinic organizations are contracted with Health Care LA Independent Practice Association / MedPOINT Management
- The clinic site has the capacity to adopt eConsult
- It is preferred that the clinic site is a member of California Telehealth Network and HITEC-LA
L.A. Care will provide project management services to provide oversight for the eConsult expansion along with personnel for training and onsite support of the clinics. As the eConsult program expands, L.A. Care looks to work with solo and small practice physicians who can utilize eConsult technology to create better experiences for their patients.
